Diary of a Thin Hair Sister

I am right at the beginning of my sisterlocks 'journey' and very pleased and proud that I finally made the decision. Being a tad surprised (shocked?) at my thin hair, I thought that I would chart my progress and share my experience with a community of people both looking to start or already on their sisterlock voyage. (Do not make copies of my photos!!)

The Hair Color...

Well, not even two boxes of L'Oreal's "Black Leather" could help my locks stay black! I have posted before about my only adventure with coloring my locks, but now that summer (and a loooong vacation) is soon upon me, I am wondering if I should go for it again.

I have been calling my natural hair color "dull rust pipes," but in the sun it is a coppery brown (just to be nice to myself...). (The picture above is my natural hair color). So what do you think, should I go black, or should I try to accentuate the brown?

I will color before I go based on your suggestions.....!!!

I like jet black on you because it looks so rich and brings out your best facial features. Just my opinion. ;-)

I'm totally ignorant about colour, I've never coloured my hair before. Dewdrop is the specialist.

Paula

I love the black! Rich gorgeous locks.

And your skin looks as creamy as mousse. Too pretty!

Your natural hair colour looks perfect. Why mess with perfection? I wouldn't change a thing if I were you.

Hi, I was just reviewing your pics and I absolutely love your sisters locks. I, also have soft, fine hair and just had my consultation today. My sample sisterlocks are really thin, micro even. After reviewing your pictures, I know my hair will fill in nicely over time. Thank you for sharing! and also giving me the confidence to go ahead and start my journey.
