I am right at the beginning of my sisterlocks 'journey' and very pleased and proud that I finally made the decision. Being a tad surprised (shocked?) at my thin hair, I thought that I would chart my progress and share my experience with a community of people both looking to start or already on their sisterlock voyage. How beautiful!! Who are your sisters? How long have each of you had sisterlocks? I have been locked for 11 months and am feeling a bit discouraged with my locks right now. Your photos bring so much hope!!

Felicia: I have been locked for 3.5 years, my sister on the left for just over 3 years, and the one in the middle for almost 3. My feelings about my hair change with the wind, so hang in there! Overall, it has absolutely been the best hair decision I've ever made. I only wish I had locked sooner...
